A Breakdown In The Fabric Of Reality
The ancient festival of Samhain extends from October 31 to November 1 -- a
time of literal breakdown "in the fabric of Reality". This is a moment in our
annual orbit of the sun when the normal barriers between this world ...
and the "Otherworld" ... grow inexplicably "thin".
This "open door" between planes of reality allows the
manifestation of "ghosts" and other "spectral beings" to appear in our 3-D
material world -- our beloved dead, and other beings, can most easily
visit us at this unique time.
And we can mentally visit the other realms as well, making divination, psychic reading, and even astral travel easier at this time.
Sounds incredibly "hyperdimensional" to me ....
As Richard Hoagland said, "a reincarnation expert, three bona-fide Witches, our
resident metaphysician ... and me, a poor lonely scientist" -- exploring together the multiple meanings and associations of a MOST ...

As the Wiccan Wheel of the Year swings 'round to Samhain again, consider a deeper purpose to this biggest of Wiccan holidays which the world knows as Halloween.
The Sabbat of Samhain is always a time to reconnect with our loved ones who've passed on and to honour our ancestors.
This year, the Sabbat theme seems to go even further: healing the unfinished business of those who've come before us.
If you think that someone has, or might, cursed or put an evil spell on
you, you need to know how to protect yourself from that harmful energy.
The Day of the Dead is a tradition that is so rich and nourishing that,
even forgotten for a time, it is well worth returning to.
As summer is far behind us and winter is looming close, at Samhain / Halloween, the Veil Between The Worlds becomes thin and transparent. Those who have passed beyond life are once again within our reach, if we desire to be near them once more.
This is the essence of the Day of the Dead.
As a highly sensitive person, you are vulnerable to taking on energy from people and energy fields around you.
These then feel like your own negativity. You may feel sick, or angry, or despairing, or exhausted — thinking it's got something to do with you, when in fact you've just absorbed that negative energy like a sponge!
Wiccan holidays are based on the major solar and lunar events on the Wiccan Wheel of the Year.
Wiccan rituals for the Sabbats, for instance, celebrate the Sun's influence on the Earth — that is, the seasonal growing cycle.
Different traditions of Wicca honour different deities, but Hecate seems to cross all the boundaries.
And why not? She is the original boundary-crosser,
the Goddess of all doors and gates, all transitions from one place (or
state of being) to another. She is the original hedge-sitter, the Hag, the Hex-mistress — all words arising from the same root as Her name.
