Make notes in your Book of Mirrors or spiritual journal about the process and the results you got. |
Start by tracing the Pentacle in this diagram with your finger (or cursor). Do this at least a dozen times or more, so your body can start to memorise the motions. (Lift your finger to break the line, and pause briefly, in between each Pentacle.) Actually use your finger or hand to go through the motions, don't just do it with your eyes this is good practice for when you will be casting Circles or inscribing Pentacles on your own. It teaches your body to do this without having to think about it. You can't do this too much! The more you practice this, the better. If you make a mistake, stop, mentally say something like, "erase that," and then start over again. When you've done it correctly, mentally tell your body, "Yes, that's it! Good work!" This helps your body remember the right way, and avoid getting programmed with the wrong way. (This is a very effective technique: you can use it any time your body is learning a new skill.) | |
Practice drawing the Pentacle on paper with a pencil or what have you. Do this several times a day something fun to doodle! | |
After you've traced the Pentacle above or drawn it on paper, practice drawing the Pentacle invisibly in the air, with your finger. | |
Keep practicing both the "invisible" and the pencil drawings, until you can easily remember how to draw a Pentacle without referring to this diagram. Then draw a Pentacle at least 3 times a day for a month, to put this technique into your long-term memory. |
Reflect on your experience of drawing a Pentacle: how it felt, how it affected or changed you, and what you think of it all. Reflect on the 5 points of the Pentacle and the Circle, and what they relate to. | |
Reflect on your experience of Grounding: how it felt, how it affected or changed you, and what you think of it all. Reflect on what it means that humans can so easily tap into the energy of Earth and Sky. | |
Reflect on your experience of Centering: how it felt, how it affected or changed you, and what you think of it all. Reflect on what it means that in Centering, you connect with the present moment and the Divine. | |
