The key aspect of the Shift of the Ages is what I call the Return of the Goddess or the Rebirth of the Goddess. This is central to this current Transition we are going through, this next step in humanity's evolution.

Where is She returning from?

Why did She leave?

And what does Her return mean to us today?

The answer takes us on a journey to the origins of (current) human history, and the core philosophies of humanity. More importantly, it carries us forward into the future: the Spiritual Golden Age that is now dawning.

The Dismemberment of the Goddess

The Goddess, Destroyed © Wicca-Spirituality.com About 5000 years ago (maybe even a whole lot longer), the Gods rose up and slew the Goddess, their mother.

They dismembered Her, and from Her carcass built their world: the world we have inherited and live in today.

And today, we see the results. Not only is the Mother of the Gods in pieces, but so is every human... and the Earth.

As above, so below.

The story of the dismemberment of the Goddess is the metaphor for the dismemberment of ourselves: the eradication of "woman" and "femininity" from positions of respect and appreciation.

This doesn't mean simply that women have been disempowered and devalued in society. It means that, as much as possible, everything "feminine" within each human being has been eradicated (in men) or trampled and subjugated (in women).

What's the Deal with the Divine Feminine?

If you've been following my work for a while, you'll have seen me use that phrase a lot. But what does that really mean: "the Divine Feminine"?

In our world, there is a polarity of energies at the heart of all things. These are called, in Eastern philosophy, Yin and Yang. In Western philosophy, female and male. In Wicca and other religions, they are called Goddess and God.

That means that we recognise these two polarized, intertwining energies as fundamental to all life, and transcending all life.

So seeing the Feminine as Divine means honouring as sacred the qualities that women embody...
  • Softness
  • Gentleness
  • Joy
  • Appreciation
  • Compassion
  • Caring
  • Kindness
  • Sensitivity
  • Intuitive Knowing

It means honouring as sacred the values that matter most to women:

  • Peace
  • Feeling
  • Interconnection
  • Responsibility
  • Freedom
  • Cooperation
  • Flowing And Yielding
  • Authenticity
  • Creativity
  • Service

Essentially, it's treasuring the heart and soul,
and letting these guide your choices.

For millennia, anything we might associate with the Earth, with Nature, with the body, with water, with the Moon, with the soul... these have been ranked as inferior. For thousands of years, these qualities and values have been demeaned as weak and undesirable.

What is associated with the Divine Masculine is all that has been valued...
  • Hardness
  • Strength
  • Competition
  • Domination
  • Laws
  • Rights

  • Stability and Unchangingness
  • Straightness
  • Mind
  • Abstraction
  • Sun
  • Disembodied Spirit

You don't have to look far to see this value system in action. You probably don't have to look outside of yourself.
<
We have all been raised with these values and it's impossible not to take them on to some degree.

Why Killing the Goddess Couldn't Work

The biggest problem with this destruction of the Feminine (besides its repercussions on Nature) is that every single person has elements of the Feminine as well as the Masculine within them.

We couldn't live otherwise. As we have a sympathetic nervous system that engages so we can take action (Yang/Masculine energy), we have a parasympathetic nervous system that engages so we can rest and rebuild our bodies (Yin/Feminine energy).

Without either one, we could not function. Literally, we would not survive.

In every way and in every aspect of life, we find that both the Yang and the Yin are required, in dynamic balance, in order for life to function.

Yet for thousands of years, we have intentionally cut the Divine Feminine out from our minds and hearts, from our entire world, and so we live broken, yearning for wholeness without realising even what is missing.

Now, at long last, with the Shift of the Ages the tide is turning. The Goddess is reborn. Literally, in avatars who are currently walking the Earth. And only slightly less literally, in the hearts of all of us who are seeking spiritual wisdom.

This is the Return of the Goddess on Earth!

Have you been consciously learning or wanting to honour your heart, your body, your intuition? To return to love? To be one with Nature? These are signs that the Return of the Goddess is taking place within you!

If you weren't ready for this re-balancing, you wouldn't be reading this. So I can tell you this, which I hope sparks joy, relief, and gratitude... the Return of the Goddess is already happening! She is being reborn... within you, within many of us. Within the world.

A metaphor?

Yes... partially.

Don't get hung up on the words, though. The important thing is that the world is ready — at last!! — for the return of the Goddess. At long, long last, the values of the Heart are returning to a place of honour.

And just in the nick of time, for this is the shift that will save our planet.

With Brightest Blessings,
