The Witches' Silver Rule

Have you ever heard of the Witches' Silver Rule?

You know the Golden Rule. It's a popular, dogma-free version of the Wiccan Rede. "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."

It's a good guideline for living. It's the kind of guidance that comes from the Sun . . . Take action, but don't hurt others.

Well, did you know about the Silver Rule? This guidance comes from the Moon, and is equally crucial for a life well-lived . . .

Witches' Silver Rule

Follow Your Heart

Yes, you!

You are a sacred being . . . a shining bit of Divinity. The voice that calls to you from your heart is the voice of your soul.

This is the Goddess Within you, and learning to heed that inner voice is what gives Wicca its power.

This is the power to

• intuitively know things,

• use psychic skills,

• work magick, and

• transform yourself in Wiccan ritual.

There are tons of books and sites that tell you what to do, in Wicca. But if you follow them without consulting the guidance of your heart, they will not have power. You will not achieve the results you desire.

The power of your soul cannot be equaled, nor replaced.

Okay, I Confess

I don't want to give the impression that this is some ancient bit of Wiccan dogma.

But it feels right, doesn't it?

If there's one thing Witches know about, it's following their inner guidance system. Witches keep the Silver Rule, even without stating it as such.

So I humbly submit this Witches' Silver Rule as an addition to the lore and rede of Wicca.
