Allow me to begin with a disclaimer: these articles are a primer to learn palm reading. They will give you enough to begin playing with palmistry.
But there is a lot more to it... so much that I couldn't fit it in here.
When you've gone through these palmistry basics, you can begin to put together some interpretations of your own, right away.
If you have done even a little dabbling in palm reading, you will have noticed that everyone seems to have a different system. One book will interpret a sign one way, and every other book will have a different perspective.
Well, I haven't tried every system. But what I can tell you is that, like Tarot, it doesn't really matter which system you use. As long as you stick with only one.
Every system covers the same information, one way or another. If you learn a palm reading system that you like and stick with it, you will cover all the important ground without confusing yourself with 17 contrary interpretations.
Once you're well-established in your chosen method, you can glean the missing bits from other sources. For instance, no book or course can cover every contingency. You'll always be wondering about new and weird things you've come across.
Those quirks might be covered in another book, though, and you can then add that to your repertoire of hand meanings.
NOTE: In every palmistry reading I've done, in about 30 years of reading palms, every single time I encounter something I'd never imagined before! There will always be things you've never seen and don't know what they mean.
That's why the best palmistry methods help you understand why things mean what they do. Then when you come across the unexpected -- and you will! -- you will be able to interpret what it is likely to mean.

The 3 Biggest Mistakes
Beginner Palm Readers Make
The Future Is Not Only In Our Hands
The most important thing to know when you first learn palm reading is that there is no such thing as a fixed future.
You might see a broken life line and assume that the person will have serious health issues. But many things can influence this possibility. And the most important is the person's own will and personal growth.
All the hands show is possibility or likelihood... based on factors continuing unchanged.
But we can change our direction in life, any time we choose.
There's Always More To It Than The First Glance Shows
The second most important thing is to realise that no single indication can tell the whole story. There can be many other signs in the hand to balance or even counteract another sign.
So until you have a firm grasp of the whole of palmistry, don't ever assume you know what the truth is. Until you know enough to recognise balancing agents and mitigating factors, you will only see a part of the picture.
If you would be a good palm reader, you must have the humility to accept this fact.
You Have A Responsibility To Use Your Knowledge Wisely
The third thing -- and really, this is number one in order of consequence -- is to never tell anyone that you see future suffering in their hand.
In the first place, you could be wrong, and cause needless distress.
In the second place, the power of the mind to create self-fulfilled prophesy is astonishing, and you could be causing the very problem you're warning them of!
In the third place, even if you could be certain it was true, no one has the right to predict bad things for other people.
In the fourth place, the amount of negative karma you can accumulate by messing with people's lives is astounding. Don't play around!
The most you can responsibly do in this case is to look for signs that mitigate the problem, and encourage their development. You can always dispense good lifestyle advice, too, because everyone has already heard it before. "It looks like you would benefit from more exercise." "Remember to take time to rest and re-fuel." Etc.

Which Hand Do You Read?
Trick question! You read both hands.
But you don't read them the same.
The non-dominant hand shows the pattern that you were born with: the possibilities, strengths, weaknesses, challenges, etc. This is the plan for your life that you chose when you incarnated.
The dominant hand shows what you actually do with those possibilities. As you learn and grow, as you take your destiny in your own hands, your life path alters.
It is said that lines in the non-dominant hand don't change, whereas the dominant hand can change drastically, and sometimes rather suddenly.
For most people, the dominant hand is the right, and the non-dominant is the left. For people who are ambidextrous, you can read the writing hand or the most often-used hand as the dominant one.
As you learn palm reading, you begin to understand how the two hands together give you a bigger picture... where the person started, and where they went with that, and what potentials they have not yet tapped.
How To Read Both The Hands
For example, if there is a mark or line on the non-dominant hand, it means that person was born with that experience in their Divine Plan.
If you see it on the dominant hand as well, it means it is still relevant: either it will happen or has happened.
But if you see it only on the non-dominant hand, it means that issue has either been experienced and overcome, or their Divine Plan was altered by their conscious decisions in their life.
Conversely, if a sign is only on the dominant hand, it means that it wasn't in their original Plan, but it is something they developed on their own, or experienced due to conscious choices they made.
It is our conscious choices, especially the choice to evolve spiritually, that change our destiny.
As you learn, palm reading becomes a dance between the Divine Plan and what the person has done with that starting point. It can a fascinating and humbling experience to be allowed this glimpse into another's spiritual journey.

Learn Palm Reading: The Basics
There are 4 subjects that will give you a good start, when you first learn palm reading. Once you have a grasp on them, you can jump right in! These are...
- The Major Lines of Palmistry
- The Major Mounts
- Line Quality
- Line Placement
An expert in palmistry would start a reading with a look at the overall hand, the fingertips and nails, and skin qualities. But these are more complex, and harder to remember, than looking at the first thing most people notice about hands -- the lines on the palms!
Almost everyone starts out to learn palm reading with the palmistry lines. It's like grasping a cup by its handle... it's the easiest place on which to get a grip.
So let's start with the lines of palmistry.
